    Product Description

What's the most courageous thing you've ever done?

As men, all of us face decisions in life that demand courage. Big or little, complex or straightforward, these choices—let's call them battles—matter a great deal. One courageous choice leads to another; tomorrow's integrity depends on today's bravery.

Dennis Rainey identifies five stages of a man's journey through life—boyhood, adolescence, manhood, mentor, and patriarch—and examines a man's responsibilities at each step. Rainey calls men to seize the moment and take action, stepping up to responsibility and inspiring others in the process. It's about embracing courage, rejecting passivity and cowardice.

Ultimately, you'll be challenged to be the man on your battlefield.

It normally takes me forever to read a book like this, and this was certainly something i couldn't put down. The principles in it are AMAZING, and should be used by every man out there in bringing up a Godly son or daughter. I recommend it for every man to read. I am actually purchasing it for our entire mens bible group so they can apply it within their homes and everyday lives. The courage stories are great, and provide great real life examples of what we can live up to! We must all grow as men, and keep God as our guidance. Enjoy.....HIGHLY recommended! pg 151 'As a mentor, you can make a difference in another man's life that can change his world. As someone once said, 'To the world, you may just be somebody. But to somebody, you may just be the world.''

Every male 12 and older should read this book, and hopefully in the company of another man (men) so that the contents can be discussed openly. As an older guy, the only negative comment that I and my contemporaries have is that we wish we could have read and applied the wisdom contained within it decades ago.

This is one of the best concise, simple yet profound books I've read. I have yet to review the Passport to Purity that complements it from my understanding, but I look forward to it. I'm buying a few more copies to hand out. I'm also going through the book with my 12 & 16 yr old sons. All this stuff Dad has been preachin & teachin can be heard and affirmed by someone leading the charge globally. Thanks!

I shortsightedly got just one copy for my boys and when it came I started reading it. I thought it was great, even for women to read! Inspiring stories and a help for moms to encourage dads in the raising of sons. Now I'm ordering more copies for ALL the men in my life.

Definitely in my top five books of all time. Wish I had this book as a teenager. It kicked my tail and yet was encouraging at the same time.

Stepping Up' is a book that is written for every man. It is filled with engaging stories that you will want to talk about with other men. It is through those conversations that the book fulfills its purpose and is the catalyst in helping men become better men. It will be in the hands of the Men in our Men's Group. If there is only one book that you could read, this should be that book.

I found this book to be refreshingly straightforward dealing with issues that are too often 'swept under the rug' today. Men need to be called up and to stand for something bigger than themselves. Dennis does a great job in explaining the five steps in a man's life and how to 'take it to the next level'. Thanks, Dennis!

I've been reading men's ministry books for 18 years, from great ones like Steve Farrar, Chuck Swindoll, Stuart Scott down through the ages -- this book by Dennis Rainey deserves to be put right along side the very best. Practical and thought provoking for all stages of life, you need to read this book. Not just for men, ladies need to read this book to really know how best to encourage your husband to step up in leading the family, the church, and the community at large. I don't believe you can read this book and not be changed, challenged, and motivated to take it to the next level in your life. Highly recommend Stepping Up...just wish it was in Kindle format so I would have easy reference in the years to come!

Great book. Dennis has given us great encouragement in building into the lives our sons and other men. I plan to give away many copies and lead the men of our church in Stepping Up.
